Diablo 4 features "Seasonal Content," which is only available for a limited time and requires players to create new characters in order to participate in the game's newly introduced quests, challenges, and other content on a particular realm. This page contains information on how to create a Character on the Seasonal Realm, as well as how to get ready for the Seasonal Content that will be available. Please be aware that any characters that were created prior to the beginning of the new Season are locked in the Eternal Realm and cannot take part in the event. At the conclusion of each Season, any characters that were developed specifically for the Seasonal Realm will have their existences transferred to the Eternal Realm.
What You Need to Do First When Creating a Holiday Character
You will want to make sure that your new Season 1 Character will be able to take advantage of all of the benefits that your main Character has unlocked on the Eternal Realm before you go ahead and create your new Character. Following the installation of Patch 1.1.0, the unlockable rewards that can be transferred to other characters have been modified to now include map reveals and the Altar of Liliths. Be sure to log in to the version of your main character on the Eternal Realm that has discovered the most Altars of Lilith and has the most map of Sanctuary revealed. This will cause their previous achievements, buffs, and renown to be bound to your new Seasonal Characters, so that some of it can be carried over.
If your character is close to completing the Main Story Campaign, we strongly suggest finishing it on the Eternal Realm. This will allow you to skip the Campaign and unlock the new Seasonal Questline and features right away, rather than having to finish the Campaign in its entirety on your new Seasonal Character.
How to Conceive of a Brand-New Character for Each Season
Even though the Eternal Realm will be displayed on the screen where you choose characters, you do not have to worry about switching realms before beginning the game. To begin the process of creating a new character and choosing a class, you need only select the Create New Character option.
After you have decided on their Class, appearance, and name, there should be a section labeled Season Info in the top left corner of the screen. This section will tell you whether or not there is a season that is currently being played. It is recommended that you select the Skip Campaign option if you have already finished the Campaign on another character. This will allow you to start freely exploring the world at level 1, as well as begin the new Seasonal Content as soon as it becomes available.
You will be prompted to choose your Hero's Realm once you have selected the Start Game option. Because the Eternal Realm is where your main characters are found both before and after participating in any Seasonal Events, you need to make sure that the Seasonal Realm is the one you choose before hitting the Continue button. You are able to begin exploring Seasonal Content and Seasonal Quests as soon as your Character has been fully created and is in the world. Seasonal Content and Seasonal Quests are always highlighted with green leaf icons.
Should You Participate in the Campaign for Diablo 4 Season 1?
Should you forego playing through the campaign in Diablo 4 Season 1? It's one of the first questions asked when you begin the Season of the Malignant, and I'll be the first to admit that it's a little bit puzzling. If you've spent any significant amount of time with Diablo 4 since its release, you'll be aware that the campaign serves as your anchor as you level from 1-50; consequently, the idea of skipping it entirely when creating a brand new character from scratch may seem a little counterintuitive to you.
The thing is, you should absolutely avoid playing through the campaign that is included in Diablo 4 Season 1. To access the content of Diablo 4 Season 1, you will need to have already finished the campaign with your main character on the "Eternal Realm." However, in order to play Season of the Malignant, you will need to make a completely new character on the "Seasonal Realm."
If you choose to play Kyovashad without participating in the campaign, your character will begin the game at level 1. After that, examine your map and keep an eye out for the Green Leaf icons; these represent the Seasonal Content and Seasonal Quests that you are now able to access and will be available to you once you have completed the aforementioned step.
How to avoid playing through the campaign when playing Diablo 4 Season 1
You will first need to familiarize yourself with Diablo 4's seasonal character creation process in order to be able to skip the campaign in the first season of Diablo 4 season 1. After you have decided which class you want to play as and have customized your hero, you will need to go to the "Finalize" tab and look for a new option to "Skip Campaign" under the "Hardcore" toggle. This will allow you to bypass the campaign. After you have successfully selected the option to Skip the Campaign, you will be prompted to enter the name of your character, after which you will be prompted to hit the "Start Game" button. After that, on the following tab, you will need to ensure that you join the "Seasonal Realm."
